Shift Networks reports Q1 hosted-VoIP growth
Shift Networks said its first-quarter 2006 results showed revenue growth of more than 300 percent and sharp growth in contracted recurring revenue for its ShiftVoice service.
Growth tied to distribution
The Canadian hosted-IP communications provider attributed rising sales to investment in distribution and sales capacity, customer interest and the addition of Vancouver as a third major market. It also said it had work in progress to offer service in Toronto.
The release described a lag between hiring sales staff or dealers and receiving consistent subscriber revenue: training and lead development were followed by a sales cycle. More than 1,000 new subscribers were reported for the quarter, with independent dealers responsible for over 40 percent of line activations.
