Thales has won the contract from BAE, which earlier secured the deal with the British army to supply the first phase of its Ј200m Falcon communications network. The French defence company will provide the transmission subsystem and cryptography for the Falcon network Falcon will replace a number of military networks currently in use and aims to help field personnel share large amounts of data with the UK headquarters. |
