Philly Signs Wi-Fi Deal With Earthlink

The city of Philadelphia has hammered out its ten year deal with Earthlink to provide wireless broadband to city residents. The wholesale rate for access will be $9 a month and the residential rate will be less than $20. Philadelphia will be a highly watched test-bed for a broadband muni-strategy very much at the forefront of Earthlink's plans.
