The trip notebook / Manual terms check

What does “unlimited” leave for work?

Estimate a workday data workload and compare it with manually entered fast-data quotas, reset periods and throttled rates. No invented plan promises.

  1. Estimate the group workload using your own GB assumptions.
  2. Enter quota amount, period and reset knowledge separately.
  3. Read the fast-data risk; never treat a throttled cap as a call guarantee.

Starting values are illustrative, not measured app usage. Include downloads, cloud sync and updates in other use.

02 / Manual fair-use terms

Make the volume visible.

Daily group GB = people × [(video hours × video GB/hour) + (audio hours × audio GB/hour) + other daily GB] × (1 + buffer/100). Trip GB = daily group GB × days.

Compare trip volume only with a whole-package quota. A daily comparison is conditional on a known reset rule and evenly spread use. Rolling-window allowances cannot be resolved from this average; they require the actual usage history and the provider’s precise window.

Illustrative example / Not an offer

The same number can mean different things.

One person using 2 hours of video at 1.2 GB/hour plus 0.75 GB of other use, with 20% buffer, budgets 3.78 GB/day or 26.46 GB over seven days. An entered 10 GB whole-package quota is exceeded. A known 10 GB daily allowance changes the volume comparison, not the call-quality promise.

“Unlimited” is not an unlimited workday.

Unknown throttled speed stays unknown. A quoted cap at or above your threshold is not a measured rate, permission to tether or proof of stable calls. Congestion, latency, routing and the application matter. Confirm use permissions separately and keep a permitted backup.
