Thales has won the contract from BAE, which earlier secured the deal with the British army to supply the first phase of its £200m Falcon communications network. The French defence company will provide the transmission subsystem and cryptography for the Falcon network Falcon will replace a number of military networks currently in use and aims to help field personnel share large amounts of data with the UK headquarters. |
