Prepaid service is one of the fastest growing area in wireless. You might want to consider prepaid wireless if you: Won't sign a contract Have credit issues Want to budget yourself or a family member Only want wireless for emergency purposes There are two disadvantages to prepaid wireless. First, although per minute rates have come down, they remain higher than traditional postpaid service. Second, phones are much more expensive, as the carriers don't offer as many deals.
